STOP SELLING NOW — START HELPING

Long time ago I realized that selling is part of the business but it’s completely out of my comfort zone as I HATE asking for money so I could provide something to someone just because my company asked me to do so. I see sales as a completely different process of prospecting, offering, signing agreements and more IMPORTANT making sure the customers see the difference or understand how my proposal helped them to succeed, grow or retained their business with a more trusted partner.

Selling a product or a service just to achieve your goals is completely wrong and not my type of business. That being said long time ago I started seeing and offering either solutions to problems that companies couldn’t see themselves or even didn’t know about opportunities for them to grow through the knowledge and experience I had and I could offer.

I see SOLUTIONS not sales opportunities and honestly I do feel very confident on a daily basis and that’s something that I have always shared with the teams I managed. Don’t sell but listen and try to achieve what the other side is telling you one way or another. Help and understand your customers don’t sell them just anything — any service, any product, just anything that will benefit you personally. Help your customers and understand what do they need so you could help yourself. 👍

If you feel that you don’t understand the person in front of you or if you don’t have an idea about their business — don’t bother them with your products and services LEAVE THEM ALONE. ✋🏻WHY?

This is damaging both for yours and their businesses longterm.

On the other hand once you help and show your partners/customers that you are not just selling but providing them solutions and explaining all the benefits and showing that you are not a salesman but a business partner — that’s the moment when you move from salesman to a trusted long-term partner. That’s how I see enterprise sales and in general sales overall. My point of view not a universal way of doing business.

Often salespeople around me are showing and asking for offers that I refuse and decline to approve no matter how profitable they are for my company.

YOU WOULD ASK WHY AND WTF?

I truly believe that business is just like marriage and the longer it is the better it gets., Honesty and compromises are crucial for long-term relationships. You meet for first time, you might or might not fall in love at first sight, one of the parties is flirting and is showing you more than you saw the first time you met, you meet again, you find common sense and you just move forward — both parties feel happy and satisfied. Married happily after. You establish relationships through honest communication and common sense. Both parties are equal and understand that business is a two way street and not just a one night-stand. ☑️

‼️Pick providers that do care about your business, don’t switch services/products based solely only on the price but on the total package and benefits provided by the person knowing you for years. Business is everything but just sales and numbers. You need to learn the terminology, the challenges and the solutions in order to get on the next level. Just put yourself every time in the shoes👠👞 of the person standing in front of you and you will not only help your goals but the people you are connecting on a daily basis. That’s all 👍👍
